Local Lifestyle

While Moore Park may offer a secluded atmosphere compared to other neighbourhoods in the city, there's no shortage of great activities to get involved in. Leafy canopy streets lead the way to many outdoor destinations where you can ride bikes, go for a hike, sprawl out and host a picnic, or play fetch with your pup. There are also two distinct shopping districts for those days you feel like spoiling yourself. Local boutiques and luxury retailers can be found between Yonge and St. Clair, as well as Mount Pleasant and Davisville.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Moore Park offers some of the best shopping experiences around, and with great supermarkets such as Loblaws, you can conveniently grab all of your grocery favourites. While this retailer might be part of a major chain, it also offers products from locals to ensure there's always a focus on what the community has to offer.

Bringing tasteful Italian dishes to the table, Positano serves up recipes from the Amalfi Coast. The Italian restaurant is a local favorite with a short yet perfectly curated menu that ignites your tastebuds. The homemade gnocchi is one thing you can't miss out on when ordering. Every item on the menu pairs well with one of the many Italian wines the eatery offers, bringing you flavour from various regions of the country.

After you've wined and dined, grab something sweet at Hollywood Gelato. This ice cream shop on Bayview brings you 22 flavours of gelato to choose from, along with pastries, cupcakes, sorbet, and even coffee. The best part about this place is the large portions. Be prepared for a long line when you visit, as the place can be quite popular.

Other great places you don't want to miss out on in the area are Terroni's Italian restaurant and Playa Cabana Taqueria Norte. The latter brings you delicious Mexican cuisine with a large variety of smooth tequilas.

Things to Do

For fans of history and anyone that loves outdoor recreation, Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a surprisingly active place. During weekends, you'll find locals rollerblading or biking and taking advantage of the winding paths. The cemetery is one of Canada's most historic locations and the final resting place for various prime ministers and prominent Canadians.

Looking for something to do on a gorgeous day? Head on over to David A. Balfour Park and explore the trails. If you're lucky, you may spot deer grazing in the area. In the park, you'll find the Rosehill Reservoir, which provides drinking water for most of downtown Toronto.

One final place to pursue active fun is on the Beltline Trail. The city park is a nine-kilometre-long trail where you can cycle or hike and is notorious for being one of the most picturesque spots around.
